James Brooks FCCA MAAT - Owner / Director

James became a partner at PPK in 2010 and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. He holds an ACCA Practising Certificate.

He started his accounting career in 2000 with T J Pinton & Co, a local accounting firm that was incorporated into the PPK group in 2003. During his time there, James became a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians whilst studying under the Modern Apprenticeship scheme.  After the transition to PPK, James gained membership to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2006, having achieved first time passes in all of his exams. In 2007 he furthered his knowledge in audit by obtaining the ACCA Certificate in International Auditing. He was admitted as a Fellow to the Association in 2011.

In his spare time, James instructs Martial Arts classes, having trained since the age of 10 he holds a 4th Degree Black Sash in Kung Fu and a 1st Dan Black Belt in Kickboxing.

Mary Linnell - Business Support Manager

Mary joined PPK in 2003, having previously worked as a legal assistant before transferring into accountancy after training for the Association of Accounting Technician qualification, passing all of her exams first time.

Primarily responsible for the management of the payroll and HR departments at PPK, Mary also co-ordinates the complete back office support for a portfolio of US subsidiary clients.

Holly Pawley - Accounts and Tax Manager

Holly started her accounting career in 2002 at TJ Pinton & Co transitioning to PPK in 2013 where she gained her qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians whilst studying under the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme.  Having continuing her accountancy studies, Holly completed her ACCA exams with first time passes in 2013, becoming a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and admitted as a Fellow to the Association in 2023.

Holly manages the personal tax department at PPK and is also primarily responsible for the preparation of accounts, corporate tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT returns for a number of clients.
